Pacific Poker, a subsidiary of the super-successful 888 online casino company, has announced that they will be hosting and sponsoring a UK-based poker tournament. 888, the umbrella online casino company of Pacific Poker, will be putting up major prize money for this event. Last year's online casino-sponsored poker tournament attracted players because of the $1 million prize pool, as well as a winner's purse of $500,000. This year's tournament is expected to attract even more players and the online casino announced the dates as September 25 - October 8. The online casino group has not announced the prize pool yet, but it is expected to be larger than last year's event.

Professional poker players and online qualifiers will participate in the televised event, and satellites have already started at the online casino.
